Innovative online publishing platform designed to facilitate book self-publishing, connecting emerging authors with readers through the purchase of printed books, digital books, and audiobooks.
I conducted a comprehensive analysis of the digital publishing market and the needs of independent authors. Through heuristic testing and comparative studies of similar platforms, I identified key areas for improvement. I created specific user profiles and experience maps to optimize the publishing and purchasing process.
I developed a coherent visual system based on the logo and using 'Montserrat Alternates' typography for headings and 'Inter' for text. The color palette combines turquoise and coral as primary colors, complemented with variations. UI components follow consistent patterns that improve usability throughout the platform.
A clear structure was established with three main areas: library, work publication, and private area. The private area includes functionalities such as book management, real-time collaboration, calendar, and sales statistics dashboard. The interface prioritizes content organization through a Kanban system for task management and a customizable profile area.
I implemented an interactive prototype that simulates the main functionalities: publishing process, content management, and purchase experience. Surveys conducted with potential users revealed 75% satisfaction with the library structure and 92% with the purchase process usability.
The development is based on a semantic structure with HTML5 and modular CSS using custom variables for colors and typography. The layout combines Grid and Flexbox for complex layouts. A fluid navigation system and interactive forms optimized for all devices are implemented.
The platform succeeded in simplifying the self-publishing and editorial distribution process. Survey results confirmed the design's success in terms of usability and functionality, while the feedback received allowed me to identify strategic opportunities for improvement.
