Tools

An innovative online publishing platform designed to facilitate self-publishing, connecting emerging authors with readers through the sale of printed books, e-books, and audiobooks.

Research

I executed a profound analysis of the digital publishing market and the needs of independent authors. Through heuristic tests and comparative studies of similar platforms, I identified the key areas for improvement. I created specific user profiles and experience maps to optimize the publishing and purchasing process.

Design System

I developed a coherent visual system based on the logo. I used the 'Montserrat Alternates' typography for headings and 'Inter' for texts. The color palette combines turquoise and coral as the main colors, complemented with variations. The UI components follow consistent patterns that enhance usability across the entire platform.

A clear structure was established with three main areas: bookstore, publishing works, and private zone. The private zone includes features such as book management, real-time collaboration, a calendar, and a sales statistics dashboard. The interface prioritizes content organization through a Kanban system for task management and a customizable profile area.

Prototype

I implemented an interactive prototype that simulates the main functionalities: publishing process, content management, and shopping experience. Surveys conducted with potential users revealed a 75% satisfaction rate with the bookstore structure and 92% satisfaction with the usability of the purchasing process.

Web Development

The development is based on a semantic structure using HTML5 and modular CSS with custom variables for colors and typography. The layout combines Grid and Flexbox for complex layouts. A fluid navigation system is implemented, as well as optimized interactive forms for all devices.

Conclusions

The platform succeeded in simplifying the self-publishing and editorial distribution process. Survey results confirmed the design's success in terms of usability and functionality, while the feedback received allowed me to identify strategic opportunities for improvement.
